Salamalikoum peeps! I have only just about recovered from my trip to Marrakech last month. To sum up the weekend: Total. Interiors. Porn. Period. Shopping in the souks is an assault on the senses and the most intense yet exhilarating shopping experience I have had in a while. Berber rugs a go-go, beautifully crafted brass lanterns everywhere, golden leather poufs at every corner, and don't get me started on the patterns, the colours, the textures...

I got more excited than Stella when we took her to the zoo. Tiiiiigers! Coooooopper lamps! If you've never been to an interior design show, It's a bit like getting lost in a gigantic place that is a cross between a big casino in Las Vegas, Heathrow Terminal 5 and the first floor of Westfield.

One of the things I really struggled was with equipment and accessories that needed to live in our sitting area full time. Like a baby high chair. I looked for ages for something that was stylish, would fit with our existing decor, and wouldn't make me go bankrupt (some high chairs can set you back £400 and over. Oh and that I wouldn't see in every other people's houses... A lot of boxes to tick, I realise. But, good news, I found THE ONE.
Read MoreThis weekend, I read the whole of the September issue of Elle Decoration. Yes, every single one of the 211 pages. And it felt wonderful, not just for the reasons stated above but also because it's the most refreshing read I have had for absolute ages. I usually read Elle Decoration for inspiration purposes only rather than shopping ideas as most of the beautiful things featured in its pages are more often than not totally out of my (or anyone's) budget. However, this month they've gone all affordable on me with a special High Street issue [insert massive Hallelujah/Praise Hands Emoji here].
